7 Wonders is a strategic card game for 3 to 7 players built around a draft* mechanic, where the goal is to build the most powerful ancient civilisation of all.(*Draft = A mechanic in which each player has a hand of cards, chooses one and passes the rest to the player sitting next to them. This is repeated a certain number of times and then everyone plays with the final hand they end up with.) You are the leader of one of the seven most illustrious cities of Antiquity. Develop your civilisation in the military, scientific, cultural and economic fields, but beware of the progress of your neighbours, who share your ambitions! There are many ways to earn victory points in 7 Wonders: building the stages of your Wonder, developing the scientific fields, constructing civic buildings, winning military conflicts, assembling guilds, trading and amassing wealth. To carry out all these actions, players need resources, produced every turn by the cards, and so they must rely not only on themselves but also on the resources produced by their neighbours! A game is played over 3 rounds, called Ages. In each Age every player receives 7 cards face down. On each turn, players simultaneously choose a card according to their strategy, play it and pass the remaining hand to their neighbour. The cards represent the different Buildings that can be constructed: resource production, civic, commercial, military, scientific and guilds. At the end of each Age, players go to war against their two neighbours. After the 3 Ages, players count the victory points provided by their City, Wonder, military strength and Treasury.
