Dixit

A game of interpretation and imagination with wonderfully illustrated cards. Surprising, convivial and fun to play with family and friends. Hold your breath! The images have been revealed. They all have one thing in common: a cryptic word or phrase! Now be careful... only one of the images is the right one! Use your flair and intuition to find it, avoiding the traps set by the other players! How to play: Each player has a hand of cards with bizarre but stunning illustrations. In each turn, a different player takes the role of the “storyteller”. They score points by getting the other players to guess their card (but not if everyone guesses it), giving them a clue (a word, a phrase…). The clue must be subtle, though, because if everyone guesses their card, the storyteller scores no points! (“How can I use a word or a phrase to put my fellow players on the right track while keeping enough ambiguity?”) The other players secretly select which of their cards could match the description given by the storyteller... and once the cards are selected, each player tries to secretly guess which card is the right one! All the other players score points by guessing the storyteller’s card and by convincing (without speaking) the other players to vote for their card. The game ends when one or more players reach or exceed 30 points. The player with the most points is the winner.
